Spring Break in Moab

This year for Spring Break we decided to venture on down to Moab, UT with our longtime friends, the Hardings. We camped for 4 days and had so much fun. This was a first trip for me to this area of the state and I really enjoyed it. We spent one day in Arches National Park and then the rest of the time we spent 4 wheeling and letting the kids run around in the red dirt/sand. The Moab slick rock amazed me and I have never seen anything like it before.
We took a 10 mile ride to this arch (Tibbets Arch) on our 4 wheelers. It was probably one of the hardest, but most fun rides I have ever done. We had to ride the 4 wheelers to the trailhead and then hike a mile to the arch and the kids did awesome on the hike! The canyon around Tibbets Arch. Brandon told him I was making him nervous getting this close to the edge of the cliff to take this picture.

Delicate Arch (Does this look familiar? It's the arch on the Utah licence plate)

Lincoln and Daddy hiked all over Arches and boy did he sleep well that night!

The family loved the trip to Moab and I was amazed at how many things there are to do down there. Besides Arches National Park you are within 20 miles to Canyonlands National Park and Dead Horse Point National Park. It is also on the Colorado River and there is TONS of river rafting that you can do. We camped closer to Dead Horse Point and the trails we rode on were awesome. We survived the crazy winds that kicked up the first 2 days we were there and even survived camping in a tent with temperatures that reached 25 degrees one night. I was amazed at how well my boys and I handled those kinds of conditions and yes, I would do it again. We were lucky to have the right equipment with us so everyone was comfortable and fine.
