Girl's Trip to Vegas (and St George)

Every summer some friends of mine get together for a much needed mommy break and head on a trip without kids or spouses. It is absolutely wonderful and we have so much fun. This year we spent 3 days in Vegas and 2 days in St George. We just relaxed and had fun and fit in a fun play at Tuacahn. This is one of the best times of year for us!

Lincoln's 1st Pony ride

Last week my good friend Jill called me and invited me to take the kids to Thanksgiving Point Farm Country with her and her kids. My boys have been there before, but this was actually the first time Lincoln got to go on the pony rides. He absolutely LOVED it. He was grinning from ear to ear the entire time. I guess we will have to do this more often

Steel Days Carnival

We decided late Saturday afternoon to take the boys to the American Fork Steel days carnival. Brandon grew up in American Fork and we have kind of made it a tradition to take our boys to this carnival. They had so much fun and were so funny about which rides they would ride on. They only wanted to ride on rides that were either cars, trucks, motorcycles, or trains. They had no interest in any other rides. I guess it just goes to show they are both definitely "all boy".

It was pretty hard to get them both to look at us at the same time while they were enjoying themselves.

Carter insisted on sitting next to this little girl so he could be in the front of the train so I ended up sitting in a different train car with Lincoln

Linc's 2nd birthday!

For Linc's 2nd birthday we decided to take him on a real train ride because he absolutely loves trains. We had so much fun and the weather and scenery were perfect. The Heber Creeper was a lot of fun and I would recommend it to anyone (the only down fall is it is rather pricey. We were able to snag some half price discount coupons so that helped quite a bit).

Linc's train birthday cake I made

Lincoln cracks us up...he makes the funniest face when he says, "choo choo".

Enjoying the engine car part of the cake

Opening his presents

At dinner after the Heber Creeper ride. He loves pizza so we took him to the Pizza Factory in Lindon. While we waited for our food he wanted to try on his dad's sunglasses and hat.

Carter wanted his picture taken on the train inside the passenger car

Lincoln and Daddy...saying choo choo again

Beautiful scenery onboard the train...Deer Creek and Soldier Hollow area

Old steam engine

Carter kept trying to climb on it while I was taking pictures

Carter always finds something to entertain himself...and others

Lincoln's birthday pancakes for breakfast. Of course they have sprinkles!

His new kitchen set he got for his birthday. He's always in my cupboards when I'm cooking or hanging on my legs so I got him his own kitchen, which he absolutely loves.

I can't believe my baby is two. It has gone by so fast. He is such a good boy and such a joy to have in our family. He is such a sweet boy and such a cuddle bug. We love you Lincoln!
