Tulip Festival

It's pretty sad that the most pictures I have taken in a while are at the Tulip Festival. I have just gotten so busy I have completely forgotten to take my camera along with us to all the places we go and events we are at. It was a beautiful day yesterday so I loaded up the kids and we went to explore Thanksgiving Point's Tulip Festival. It was so beautiful and the kids enjoyed running through the gardens.

Felicity got sick of me chasing the boys around & getting mad at the people on the Segways that tried to run us down because they felt strollers shouldn't be allowed in the gardens. So she decided to pull her hat down over her eyes and fall asleep in the stroller. Poor kid
I LOVED these 3 waterfalls! They are so amazing!

Yeah, I planted tulips a couple years ago. About 2-3 doz. of them. Guess how many are blooming in my yard? About 4. I guess I need to take a gardening class over at Thanksgiving Point

Easter 2012

I should've taken more pictures of Easter, but with 9am church it just didn't work this year. The kids got up early and hunted for their baskets and eggs and then we had our traditional breakfast of Eggs benedict. After that was all done we hurried and got ready and were out the door for church!

The boys in their Easter clothes (my hubby wasn't paying attention to how/where he was taking pics & had them in direct sunlight. Sorry for all the squinting. They really did look cute in their Easter clothes).

Winter 2012

Wow! It time sure flies! We have been so busy lately with all of our different activities & I haven't had time to blog. Here's some of our activities/events that have happened so far this year:
Felicity turned 6 months old yesterday and is such a good baby! She sleeps 12-14hrs at night plus 2 naps during the day and is so happy and relaxed. She is loved by all & such a great addition to our family.

Christmas 2011

I have been horrible blogging lately. I blame it on our kids! :) The holidays went by way too fast and we had one activity after the next and it got crazy. I have found that if I keep the kids scheduled with different things and they are busy they have less time to get into trouble and drive me nuts. Carter started basketball right after the holidays and he is enjoying that. I will do another blog post on that with pictures later. We had a great Christmas and enjoyed spending it with both of our extended families.

Christmas Sunday. This was our 5th try on a pic. It's so hard to get everyone to look at the camera and behave!
The boys got Hot Wheels Wall Tracks from Santa. They asked for this everyday for literally 2 months
Miss Felicity and her Glow Seahorse. She LOVES this! It plays ocean music and lights up and puts her to sleep every night
Unwrappin gifts

Everyone got super spoiled and we are all very greatful for all the blessings in our lives. We are so lucky to have so much and to have such great family and friends. Brandon and I really scaled back on Christmas this year and only ended up getting the kids 3 presents each. We feel like our kids have so much and we want them to be greatful for everything they have. They ended up getting one big toy from Santa, new shoes/boots, and an educational gift/something for school.

Felicity's blessing

Brandon blessed Felicity in church on the 27th (which is also her Great Grandma Maryanne's birthday). It was a beautiful blessing that he gave her and she slept through not only the entire blessing but the rest of sacrament and then half way through the dinner after. She is such a good baby and we are so blessed to have her in our lives. She wore the same dress I wore when I was blessed. My mom had taken good care of it and added some more lace and seed pearls to it. It turned out beautiful and I made her headband and her great grandma bought her a beautiful tiny pearl bracelet. Girls are so much fun to dress!

Still sleepy apparently

Halloween

Halloween this year was kind of hard for me to pull off. Lincoln got a bad cold the week before and ended up passing it to Felicity and on Halloween we ended up at the doctor with both of them having double ear infections. I then had to go get their perscriptions filled and the wait was two hours. We ended up going to Brandon's parent's house so they could see the kids all dressed up while we waited for our Rx's. It ended up taking longer than 2 hrs to get the Rx's and we ended up missing the ward's trunk or treat and with a very cranky Miss Felicity. So I fed the boys dinner and by then Brandon made it home so I handed him Felicity and I took the boys out to do the standard door to door trick or treating. They had lots of fun and I'm glad they made it out to at least do that.
Carter the soldier, Linc Buzz Lightyear, & cranky Miss Felicity the fairy
Soldier boy
Buzz Lightyear (we literally had to fight Linc to get this costume off. He ended up wearing it again the next day. I've had to hide it since then so he can look like a normal kid. He asks me daily where it is. On a side note, this is one of the most well-made costumes I have ever purchased. Carter passed it down to Linc and Linc has worn the heck out of it and it still looks and feels brand new. I would highly recommend Disney shopping.com for their costumes.)

Meet Felicity

Felicity Julia Long decided to join our family on August 28th at 3:45pm. After a very easy pregnancy (compared to my boys) she decided it was time to come meet everyone 2 weeks before her due date. This is the longest I've ever gone being pregnant (I delivered my boys at 37 and 35 wks) and I can't complain because the pregnancy was so easy. She weighed in at 6lbs 1 oz. and was 18 inches long, so needless to say I didn't get huge with her. I didn't swell up in my legs at all and I was never super uncomfortable. She is a great blessing to our family and we have seen many miracles with her in the short time that we've had her.
I had her all dressed up and Brandon had to pull out the phone and start taking pics
